In Ontario, all Catholic schools have a legal duty to provide students with an education environment free from harassment & other forms of discrimination because of Code grounds. There is no exemption for Catholic schools. Section 19 applies to the existence & funding, not ability to treat people unfairly.

Parents must be involved in their child's professional/medical care. The term "parental rights" has become an alarmist rally cry for unaccepting adults who seek to overturn a child's right to privacy, bodily autonomy, freedom of expression and ability to be their authentic selves while learning.

The first trans related surgeries were in the 1910-30s. Skeptical doctors subjected trans people to all sorts of alternate treatments, but the only treatment that reliably allowed them to live happy and healthy lives was allowing them to transition. The regret rate of 1-2% should be considered when exploring options.

Research findings show transgender girls do not have inherent advantages in sports, nor do adults after undergoing hormone therapy that typically reduces muscle mass and strength. After testosterone suppression, training, genetics, and nutrition play the largest factor in athletic performance for all individuals.

Trans & sexually diverse people have faced similar challenges & discrimination in the face of binary heterosexuality. They were established on shared ideas of challenging the binaries of gender, attraction, and identity. The queer community overwhelming support each other, as well as other marginalized groups.

This has caused moral panic & conspiracy theories about LGBT grooming & pedophilia enabling environments, which many experts have characterized as baseless hysteria perpetuating fear.
